Mustanir Ahmad, PhD Biography

An HEC Approved PhD Supervisor, Dr. Mustanir Ahmad is serving as Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Department of English in Hazara University Mansehra. He holds a PhD in English Language & Literature from International Islamic University Islamabad. His research interests include Postcolonial theory & writings; Postmodernity and the related narrative techniques, especially magical realism and hallucinatory realism; South Asian & South American Literature; Teaching English as Second Language; Psychoanalysis; and Social Psychology. Dr. Ahmad has published several research articles in national and international journals. His collection of poetry, titled "A Drop of Rain and Other Poems", has been published from Vienna and London. Almost 50 students have completed their M.Phil. degrees under his supervision. Currently, he is supervising 5 PhD and 7 M.Phil. students. As member of statutory bodies of a number of universities throughout the country, Dr. Ahmad is actively contributing to the promotion of academic and research activities in his field.
